The Ground rules are designed to create a respectful and safe space for everyone at the seminar. We encourage everyone to read them.

We’re excited to kick off Ungetinget 2025 - Young voices in uncertain times!
The opening session will feature inspiring speeches by:
- Jakob Øvensen Aanderaa - Chair of LNU, the Norwegian National Youth Council
- Christine Ravn Lund - Chairwoman of DUF, the Danish National Youth Council
- Mikael Lehtonen - Expert in association activities at FYCS, the Finnish National Youth Council and Youth Sector

Everyone will be part of a Buddy Group during Ungetinget.
This group will be your “core group” during the seminar. We will start and end each day together with this group. The idea is to give you the chance to get to know some people a little bit better and provide time for you to reflect on how you are and what you want to get out of the seminar.
Each group consists of app. 6 people and is part of a Homeroom that will be facilitated by your main contact person.

In the Buddy Groups, we will start our work with the theme "Young voices in uncertain times" through a small presentation and exploration of some of the key concepts.
Through a game of "Challenges and Actions" we will talk further about how we can understand some of the aspects of young voices in uncertain times.

And you will be provided with a framework and different tools to share knowledge, create ideas, start planning a cooperation, get inspiration on how to fundraise, and much more.

2) Meeting conflicts mindfully

This workshop introduces the field of conflict management work with a particular focus on inter-personal conflicts. We will explore questions such as: What defines a conflict? Why do conflicts occur, and why do they escalate? What can be done to de-escalate a conflict?
Join us to:
- Become familiar with core models of conflict analysis
- Reflect upon your own behavioral patterns when faced with conflict
- Gain inspiration on how to engage with conflicts in open and constructive ways

3) Strengthening democracy in your organization - why and how

Democracy is not only about voting in parliamentary elections – it’s a way of living, also in organizations.
Yet, the value of being a democratic organization is easily taken for granted in day-to-day volunteer work and therefore not strengthen.
In this workshop, we will explore why and how we can strengthen democratic culture in our organizations.
No prior experience in discussing democracy is needed – together, we will build the democratic language and practice it in the workshop.

Join Emilia Uljas (YPS Network Finland), Ture Laiti (Sámi Youth), and Christine Ravn Lund (DUF) as they explore hope, influence, and leadership in turbulent times. From shaping decisions today to amplifying often-overlooked voices, this panel digs into how young people are driving action across the Nordics - and how you can get involved.
Bring your questions, share your ideas, and discover how youth are already shaping the Nordics - and how you can use your voice to create change.

Becoming ambassadors of Nordic cooperation

Join this workshop and become an ambassador of Nordic cooperation!
Get inspired, and brainstorm concrete ideas for ambassador activities.
As an ambassador, you’ll have the chance to host activities that build partnerships, spark curiosity, or showcase the many opportunities in the Nordics - funded by the Youth Network NORD project.

4) Youth, Peace, and Security (2250) - the role of youth organizations

Explore how youth participation can drive peace and security!
In this workshop, we will:
Discover the UN Youth, Peace and Security (YPS/2250) agenda and its five pillars
Use the tool "Ladder of Participation" to build vocabulary and explore the differences between real influence and tokenism
Discuss safe and enabling spaces for youth participation
Look at how we or our organizations can strengthen participation and resilience
No prior experience needed – together, we’ll build the language and tools to turn youth participation into a real force for peace.

5) Indigenous peoples' rights amidst modern day pressures

This workshop, led by Indigenous youth facilitators, explores Indigenous perspectives on rights and decision-making in the context of contemporary challenges such as militarization, environmental pressures, and climate change.
Participants will learn more about concepts like sovereignty and free, prior, and informed consent, and reflect on the role of youth in promoting inclusive, peaceful, and equitable solutions in uncertain times.

6) Exploring dynamic volunteering engagement

Even the most motivated people, committed to a specific interest or organization, may sometimes feel the need to participate in different ways. How can organizations accommodate these shifts in participation while maintaining continuity?
In this workshop, we will explore dynamic participation and the different forms it can take. You will learn how people can stay engaged even when their involvement is loose, non-specific, or episodic.
You will leave with practical tools that can be applied directly in your organization.
The workshop builds on DUF's work on sustainable engagement. More information and tools are available here (in Danish).

7) Food Security: From global challenges to local action

In Sal 2
What does food security really mean – and why is it more than just producing enough food?
In this workshop, we explore food security as a question of access, sustainability, and resilience – linking global challenges to the role of youth in shaping solutions.
Participants will reflect on:
What food security means in our own communities
How youth can influence sustainable food systems locally, nationally, and internationally
Examples of youth engagement in global forums and civil society initiatives
Participants will gain a clearer understanding of food security’s wider impact and concrete ideas for how young people and youth organizations can contribute to a sustainable and secure future.

9) Advocacy - the role of youth organizations in uncertain times

In this workshop, we explore how youth organizations can engage in advocacy: speaking up, influencing decisions, and taking action to create positive change.
Participants will discuss how youth organizations can use advocacy to make their voices heard, share experiences, and reflect on ways young people can shape their communities, countries, and the world.

11) Funding opportunities for Nordic youth projects

Join us for a relaxed, informative session and get the support you need to bring your project ideas to life!
In this workshop, you will get an introduction to a selection of Nordic funding opportunities, presented by the administrators of the funds themselves.
We'll focus on:
After a short presentation, there will be a group discussion and time for individual questions. If you'd like to work on an application, feel free to bring your laptop for hands-on guidance.
