Program details

Buses depart from CPH Airport and Malmö C

Departure from Copenhagen Airport on Friday the 7th of February at 15.45

Arrival and Room Check-In

We will wait for you in the reception, as you arrive at Scandic Segevång. Here you will need to check in with us, so that we know you are here, and so you can get your keycard for your room.

On arrival at Scandic Segevång, you must:

  • Hand in your signed Code of Behavior
  • Receive the keycard to your room
  • Make your own nametag

We’re excited to kick off the Climate and Biodiversity - Nordic Youth Seminar 2025!
The opening session will feature inspiring speeches and a panel discussion with:

  • Christine Ravn Lund - Chairwoman at DUF (The Danish Youth Council)
  • Siri Ankarfors - UN Youth Delegate at LSU (The Swedish Youth Council)
  • Rebecka Le Moine, Member of the Swedish Riksdag for Miljöpartiet (the Green Party).

Icebreaker in Reflection Groups

In Homerooms – Main Room, Sege 4, and Lundarummet

Everyone will be part of a Reflection Group during the seminar.

This group will be your “core group” during the seminar. We will start and end each day together with this group. The idea is to give you the chance to get to know some new people a little bit better and allow you a bit of time to reflect on how you are and what you want to get out of the seminar.

Each group consists of app. 8 people and is part of a Homeroom that will be facilitated by your main contact person.

You have received information about your Reflection Group, Homeroom and main contact person in an email on 30th of January.

Introduction to Theme in Reflection Groups

In the Reflection Groups, we will start our work with the theme through a game that encourages you to talk about and understand the complexities of the issues of climate change and biodiversity loss.

You are a diverse group of participants, and we hope that you will bring your different perspectives to the table to learn from each other and start some of the conversations we will have over the weekend.

Nordic Climate & Biodiversity Quiz

In Main Room

Test your your knowledge about biodiversity, climate, and sustainability in the Nordic region! Participate in an engaging and interactive quiz that will challenge your mind, spark great conversations, and maybe even teach you a fun fact or two!

Whether you're a seasoned green expert or just curious, this quiz is the ideal way to kick off a weekend focused on climate and sustainability.

Show up ready to meet new people, join a team, and compete for bragging rights (and maybe a little prize).

This is your chance to introduce yourself, your role, and your organization, helping everyone get a great overview of the exciting connections that can be made during the seminar!

This workshop will take you through the concept of greening and help you develop a greening action plan using DUF’s Grening Checklist. Join this session to kickstart the green transition in your organization and projects.

9.45-10.45 Theme group 1: Human Rights and Well-being: With and without a focus on climate and biodiversity

In this session you have the chance to connect with other people interested in the themes in focus.

And you will be provided with a framework and different tools to share knowledge, create ideas, start planning a cooperation, get inspiration on how to fundraise, and much more.

Youth involvement: Advice and tools for participating in decision-making

This workshop provides practical tools and advice for engaging in decision-making processes across organizations, municipalities, or educational institutions.

We’ll focus on three key parts:

  1. Preparation: Learn to set clear expectations, prepare effectively, and spot signs of pseudo-participation.
  2. Active participation: Gain insights to contribute meaningfully and make the most of your involvement.
  3. Follow-up: Discover how to ensure your contributions make an impact after participating.

The workshop draws on the Danish Youth Council’s guide BLIV HØRT (“BE HEARD”), with tools and resources available (in Danish) here.

In this common session, we’ll explore how you can easily engage in and strengthen Nordic cooperation.

As an ambassador, you’ll have the chance to expand your Nordic network by hosting activities that build partnerships, spark curiosity, and showcase the many opportunities in the Nordics.

Get inspired, discover funding possibilities, and brainstorm concrete ideas for ambassador activities.

In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to Greater Copenhagen—a dynamic cross-border region between southern Sweden and eastern Denmark. Learn how Greater Copenhagen is attracting talent in green transition, life science, and tech while striving to become a global leader in sustainability and innovation.

This is your chance to have your voice heard!

Through group discussions, you’ll explore what matters most to young people when choosing education and career opportunities—and help shape how the Nordics can attract more young talent passionate about the green transition.

Finding the Money for Your Nordic Projects

In this workshop, we’ll focus on how the Nordic Youth Pool for Climate and Biodiversity can support your ideas, with guidance from Ditte Marie, who manages the pool. You’ll also hear about other funding opportunities that can support your Nordic projects.

After a short presentation, we’ll have a group discussion and time for any individual questions. If you'd like to work on an application, feel free to bring your laptop for hands-on guidance, particularly for the Nordic Youth Pool for Climate and Biodiversity.

Come join us for a relaxed, informative session and get the support you need to bring your project ideas to life!

Indigenous People’s Rights Amidst the Modern-Day Pressures

Indigenous peoples face unique challenges amidst climate change, geopolitics, exclusion from decision-making, and the green transition.

In this session, facilitated by three engaged Indigenous youth, you will gain an introduction to Indigenous perspectives and explore how these issues impact Indigenous people rights. We will delve into key topics and create space for learning and reflection on how to ensure inclusion and equity for Indigenous communities in addressing global challenges.

Rewilding and Human-Wildlife Coexistence - Empowering you(th) and nature

In this workshop, we will explore the concept of rewilding, natural processes and keystone species, and why these are important to restore ecosystems and to fight climate change. Taking the Nordic countries as an example, we will guide you in what it means to make ecosystems wilder and facilitate a brainstorming session to come up with ideas about what you can do (individually, or your organization).

Speak up for the climate - Engage and advocate for climate action!

In Sege 4

Would you like to raise awareness about a burning climate change and/or biodiversity issue? Are you keen on holding decisionmakers responsible for their climate commitments? Then this workshop is for you. You can expect to get tips and tricks for how to design your own climate action campaign using DUF’s Climate Advocacy Tool. During this session you will learn more about the most common terms and themes within global and national climate advocacy.

Paradoxes in Sustainable Engagement - Challenges and Opportunities

When dedicating time and passion to a specific interest, it can be difficult to balance the competing responsibilities, demands, and expectations—both from everyday life and within your volunteering efforts. In this workshop, we will explore the paradoxes often encountered in volunteering and discuss how to manage these complexities while staying committed to a meaningful cause.

You will gain concrete tools that you can use directly in your organization and personal engagement to make it more sustainable.

The workshop is based on DUF's work with sustainable engagement, more information and tools are available here (in Danish).
